LOCATION

Lisle Computer is a small business located in Albuquerque, New Mexico. It was established by Dr. Frank Lisle and Panola Lisle in 1971 to provide expert programming services throughout the United States.

STAFF BACKGROUND

Prior to establishing Lisle Computer Corporation, Dr. Lisle served as a Lieutenant in the Air Force from 1960 to 1964. He was assigned to Rome Air Development Center where he worked on radar development. In 1964 he joined General Electric in Syracuse, New York where he was the system engineer for the development of the real-time GE-605 computer system. Panola Lisle joined General Electric in Syracuse, New York in 1961. From 1961 to 1964 she did scientific programming. In 1964 she was made project leader for the development of the real-time operating system GECOS/605.

EARLY HISTORY

In 1971 Frank and Panola moved to Albuquerque, New Mexico and established Lisle Computer Corporation. During the next ten years they had a number of contracts to develop special device handlers for the GECOS operating system on the Honeywell 6000 series of computers. From 1972 to 1985 Lisle Computer Corporation developed a number of programs for Albuquerque Seismological Laboratory. These included programs to copy and plot the seismic data and to display the data on a graphic scope. They wrote programs to convert analog data to digital format, programs that transmitted and received seismic data over the ARPA network, and they developed a massive database to store seismic data.

DATABASES

In 1985 Lisle Computer Corporation was approached by four different companies to develop software for the new micro-computers. CardSenders wanted to use the new computers for their new business which addressed and mailed birthday and other cards for clients. The original software which Lisle Computer Corporation developed has been modified numerous times since then and is now used by over 100 Licensees throughout the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Singapore, Malaysia and Mexico. Lisle Computer Corporation was also requested to develop a payroll program and billing system for an apartment management company in Albuquerque. These programs are also in use today and have been modified many times over the years by LCC. They developed the database software for a temporary employee placement company which was used for a number of years. They also developed the software required to maintain the subscriber database for New Mexico Business Journal, which has also been modified over the years and is still in use today.

HUB

In 1996 Lisle Computer Corporation took over the responsibility for adding enhancements and maintaining HUB Computer Medical Systems. This set of programs are written in C++ and are used in doctor's offices across the United States.
